Support our clinics and help us spay & neuter more pets than ever in 2025!
With your support, we can make a difference in the lives of the 500,000 stray, unwanted, and in-need pets of the Four Corners area and their families!
Did you know that a single female dog, her mate, and their pups can produce over 67,000 offspring in just 6 years? There are an estimated 500,000 stray and unwanted pets on the Four Corners Native American reservations. The life expectancy of these stray pups is just 2 years unless rescued due to disease, lack of resources, and predators. This overwhelming stray population stems from the issue that the majority of dogs on the reservation are unaltered, including the owned dogs.
The biggest reason owned dogs are unaltered is that many Native Americans cannot afford these simple surgeries. Only two veterinarians serve the entire Navajo Nation (an area the size of West Virginia), and neither of them see companion animals, so there is very minimal access to spay and neuter for Native communities. Not only are these clinics booked out for months, but only one in six Native Americans have a working vehicle, and gas along with the price of medical care for pets is too high. Underdog is here to help!
We hold free/low-cost monthly spay, neuter, vaccine, and wellness clinics in the Four Corners Native American Reservation region out of our mobile veterinary clinic! In 2024, we spayed and neutered over 1,000 animals at our clinics and administered over 3,200 life-saving vaccines.
For just $50 you can support the spay/neuter, de-worming, and vaccination of a dog or cat at one of our monthly clinics in the Navajo Nation and help us create happier, healthier communities for those pets and families in need in 2025. Donate today!
